Hedi Slimane Launches Tirade on Twitter On All Things Saint Laurent

Amid news reports of a lawsuit with Yves Saint Laurent parent company, Kering, the French house’s former creative director, Hedi Slimane, appeared to take to Twitter to voice his opinions on the matter in a three-hour tirade. In June, WWD reported that a French commercial court ordered Kering to pay $13 million to Slimane, who lead design at Saint Laurent for four years, in application of a non-compete clause following his departure from Yves Saint Laurent.  Slimane’s replacement, designer Anthony Vaccarello debuted his first collection for Saint Laurent late last month, during Paris Fashion Week. Slimane’s latest apparent social media rant comes after today’s reports that he is seeking additional funds from Kering, to the tune of $2.2 million. According to the same report, Slimane is looking for Kering  to apply a partnership agreement giving him certain rights as a minority shareholder in Saint Laurent. Kering declined to comment on the matter today.
